Team Luxembourg officially presented for WorldSkills Shanghai 2026

On 19 June 2026, WorldSkills Luxembourg, the Skills unit of the Vocational Education and Training Department within the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth, presented the team that will represent Luxembourg at the 48th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai this September, in the presence of Claude Meisch, Minister of Education, Children and Youth.

6 competitors. 5 experts. 5 skills. 1 team.

Behind these numbers are dedicated young people who have spent months and years developing their skills and preparing for this moment. They show that the size of a country does not limit its ambition: Small in size. Big in ambition.

From Aircraft Maintenance and Plumbing and Heating to Restaurant Service, Digital Construction and Landscape Gardening as a Team Challenge, each skill tells its own story of passion, perseverance and excellence.

This September, these young talents will not only represent their profession, but also Luxembourg on the world’s biggest stage for skills competitions.

Standing beside the competitors are their experts, who have spent months – and sometimes even years – preparing, guiding and supporting them. Their role is to help the competitors bring out the very best in themselves and reach their full potential.

And behind the entire team stands a support team that works with heart and dedication on this project, doing everything possible to ensure that Shanghai 2026 becomes an extraordinary experience for everyone involved – professionally, personally and humanly.

The Team Presentation was a proud and moving moment for WorldSkills Luxembourg. It was also a powerful reminder that behind every competitor, every expert and every success story are people who believe in talent, skills and the future of our young generation.
