LuxSkills 2026 came to a close on 22 April 2026, marking the end of four intense and truly inspiring days of competition at the Schoulfoire, hosted at LuxExpo – The Box. Organised by WorldSkills Luxembourg, this year’s edition once again showcased the remarkable excellence, dedication and technical mastery of young professionals from across the country.
This biennial competition brought together 111 finalists under the age of 25, competing across 25 different skills. Over the course of 22 demanding hours, each candidate was challenged to perform under real competition conditions — demonstrating not only precision and creativity, but also resilience, focus and true professionalism in front of nearly 20,000 visitors.
More than a competition, LuxSkills 2026 confirmed its role as a flagship moment for vocational education and training in Luxembourg. It is where passion meets purpose, where talent becomes visible, and where young people dare to show what they are capable of. Throughout the event, it also served as a powerful bridge between education and the professional world — offering students, families and companies a unique and authentic insight into skilled professions in action.
The national finals officially concluded on Wednesday, 22 April 2026, as expert juries in each skill finalised their assessments. The medal ceremony, held in the afternoon, brought together a full and vibrant audience in the presence of Claude Meisch, Minister of Education, Children and Youth, alongside representatives from professional chambers, the education sector, businesses, and the families who have supported these young talents every step of the way.
